Bowls Club

Situated in the tranquil grounds of the Goring Heath Charities, the Goring Heath Bowls Club (Almshouses) is one of the youngest in the area - established in 2001. The mixed club play friendly matches with a number of local clubs and with a reputation for being a friendly club, are always keen to welcome new members of all ages and abilities.

Dancing Classes

Dance Connection. Registered member of the Imperial Society of Teachers and Dancing. At Woodcote Village Hall Sam Clifton teaches classical ballet, modern and tap on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Pupils are accepted from 3 years of age and follow the ISTD syllabus to examination level. Flying

We are the Chiltern Aero Club and are based at Chiltern Park Aerodrome, Ipsden. We teach people of all ages to fly Microlight aircraft, and hold monthly meetings at the airfield. Currently we have 40 plus members, our oldest member is 83 and an ex-ww2 Spitfire pilot from Goring and our youngest is 16 from Wallingford and has just gone solo. GO Active

GO Active Gold aims to help those aged 60 and over to live more active lifestyles by setting up physical activities in rural areas that cater for all abilities. Activities will take place in 70 parishes across both districts from January 2016 to December 2018.

Rowing Club

The Goring Gap Boat Club is one of the largest recreational boating clubs in the Thames valley.
Membership is open to all, from youngsters gaining their first rowing experience to veterans with a life time on the river. Beginners are assured of a warm welcome, and a relaxed and safe introduction to the sport. No previous experience is required, and we provide tuition to all our new members.

Walking - Chiltern Way 2010 Walking Festival

This walking programme has been set up to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Chiltern Way, it offers a wide range of walks to suit all abilities, and aims to encourage more people to walk the Chiltern Way. Woodcote Walks by Stilehopper

In 2008, well-known Woodcote resident, Sam Peates, published a series of twelve ‘Woodcote Walks’ in monthly instalments in the Woodcote Correspondent under the pseudonym of ‘Stilehopper.’ Now, with the assistance of a number of other local residents, a book has been published and will be on sale from 4th December 2010.
